Hey guys i have a quick question.
I have a 93 RX7 that i'm installing a 01 LS1/T-56 combo in.
I'm buying all my exhaust components right now like headers,
tubing, clamps, etc., and i'm wondering what mufflers will i need
to buy to make my car sound like a Ferrari or similar???

My setup includes:
JBA shorty headers
2 1/2" true duals with X pipe and cats

Engine is stock. I want my car to sound like a Ferrari if possible.
Or at least close to it. What type of mufflers do i buy?

Keep in mind that exhaust system is not built yet.

Any comments or opinions will be greatly appreciated.

An ls1 will never sound like Ferrari, lol. The different architecture of the engines dictate sound more than anything else.

I know what you mean though (I just sold my 91 SHO).

You're best bet is some straight through mufflers, like dynamax ultra flow, borla XL or hooker with your True Dual X-pipe setup.

The closest you'll come to that "refined" performance sound is probably with the Borla XS series. They're fairly quiet and supposedly perform nicely.

I was thinking about using a pair of XR-1's. I called Borla today and they said i could use them outback like the imports do. I was thinking of mounting them almost to the rear and just add a pair of good looking tips. Not sure which ones at the moment. Thanks for your comments guys. If you have anymore, just keep them coming.
