Need more eyes to look at the heads i just received...
I just received these heads in the mail about 15 minutes. I was told time and time again that these were PRC stage 2.5 5.3 heads with PRC .650 springs and a 62-63cc chamber. I was also told that they had been ported/polished even more by a shop in Wisconsin which is where they were shipped from, although that is not who i bought them from. The seller had the heads at that shop since he said he was great friends with the shop owner and was having more work done to them so they would flow MORE then how they come from TSP and i'd be provided with a flow chart to show what these specific heads are flowing. I was provided with pictures before sending the money, but only pictures of the intake and exhaust ports....Upon opening the box i instantly noticed that there are no PRC markings on them anywhere and those are clearly not PRC .650 springs...let alone a dual valve spring. They look more like cleaned up stock springs to me. There is also no flow chart.
Can anyone tell if those chambers look like a 62-63cc? And what springs? Pretty sure they won't be good for a .614/.621 lift cam....

I believe PRC .650 springs are double
If they lied to you about the springs maybe they told you
a story about them being PRC heads.
Not saying they arent good flowing heads,
The port/polish looks good to me.
But I would still be tempted to lay out a good ole fashion'

Why cant some people just be strait up and try to claim they
flow as good as PRC instead of selling something that isnt

Is there not any marking at all?
TSP dont mark there heads?
Can you fill the chamber to see what cc they are?
You might want to know how much they have truly been milled?
I feel uncomfortable for you man

I talked to the guy who i purchased the heads from. He said he took the heads in on a trade from a tech member a while back. He sent the heads off to have them cleaned up, ported/polished a little more and flowed. He said it had been a while since he had saw the heads, so he called the shop that had the heads and they told him they were PRC springs (before i sent the money) Come to find out they're actually Comp behive springs which use a titanium retainer and stock seats.
The guy i purchased them from is making it right with me and sending me a set of Patriot .660 springs.

^^^ I'm sure if that was the case Jake would have said so. At least he's making it right and sending you springs. Sounds like you bought them from an honest guy and the shop is the one who made the mistake.

Ehh mystery parts. I bought my prc heads from tsp about two years ago. I prefer to buy new for all internals. You have no idea what people are selling anymore. I would rather pay the extra 400 and know what is going on my engine. Way to many people lie with cams etc... I can only imagine putting a stock cam in and stock 5.3 heads while expecting a ms3 5.3 combo.
