Never Seen a head like this before what is it???
So, Saturday night we went over to my buddies house to put in a clutch on his new 98 C5 Corvette. He pulled the longtubes off before i had arrived, and right away I saw the exhaust ports and they were d ports BUT with the Flat side up facing the intake. So, I went to look at the casting number and it was smoothed grinded off.
Car was bought here in Colorado from a guy who bought it in houston, texas and brought it up here. Car seems to have a tune, but previous owner (colorado) never touched anything he said. SO, I called Texas Speed today and they said they have never heard of anything like it. They said maybe some performance shop in Houston did the heads but they werent sure.
Have you guys ever seen heads like this or what head is it? Car has LS6 Intake on it.
Here is a pic of a LS6 Head, now imagine the d port is flipped.

could be a 241 head that someone D shaped the exhaust port. on the 241 head you cant remove any of the floor since its already lower than it optimally should be. I have never D shaped the exhaust port of a 241 head but i have heard of some that have and they remove some of the roof to do so.
