Default New to the rear

Gents,

Long time lurker of the boards. I have a gen 1 cts-v that will shortly be in need of a new rear end. So hoping you can chime in with some single syllable opinions (I'm a little fresh with rear ends) that I can take my credit card to.

Based on my options, I see that there's a kit on here for our cars:

HERE

that has a ford 8.8, brackets, axles and drive shaft.

I'm wondering if I can build something better for similar money aside from the brackets, axles and DS which I'll get from the good folks at creative steel.

I'm looking at going wavetrack, needs to be 31 spline for the axles. 3.73 ratio.

Can anyone run down a short list of what I need for the center section. I'm assuming a regular aluminum or iron pumpkin, moser 8.8 wavetrack etc.

Appreciate any hints and tips.

Nik
