What is your reasoning for wanting to do this?

If it's prepped and primed correctly it can be done and come out good but I don't know if it would have any different heat retention properties than regular paint.

i have always though that chrome spray paint was junk, not sure about the new stuff though, honest if you want a shinney intake you might wanna look into that polished powder coat stuff, there not chrome looking but very nice, i feel the spray paint chrome would just look tackey as hell, i could be wrong but i just dont see itworking out to wel

Don't do it...it's ****...I tried my intake, strut bar, and calipers and sanded all of it off..It's very translucent so it doesn't cover primer at all. I don't even think your supposed to use primer, it doesn't say to and I see why..If you have a low spot that you cannot see..it will show it, it applies like fking water---runs like crazy. After I cleared coated and dried I could still easily scrape it off with light pressure of my fingernail..It's garbage. I painted everything else under my hood with duplicolor and it turned out great.. Heres my intake and lid black metal metalic......http://pix.kg/p/778638895311%3A1592869730/sct
