T/A doorpanel w/cloth, how hard to install leather?
i found a nice set of charcoal T/A doorpanels, but from a car with cloth uppholstery.
how hard is it to to put the leather inserts? and are they available anywhere?

too bad i got glue all over one of mine. they're in perfect condition otherwise, and just sitting there on a shelf . anyway, its not hard to replace them. just take the door panels off, pop, the tabs on the back of the arm rest that hold it on, then carefully remove the tabs from the holes in the perimeter of the panel. use the backing piece as a template and use it to cut your new leather piece. use a good glue (i used 3m 90), and make sure you lay the material flat after gluing it. line it up and cut a little slit through the leather so that they line up with the slits in the backing piece. fit it back to the door, and use screws with large fender washers to hold the armrest back on. here's my door that i lined in black headliner material.
