i need help identifying these ls3 oil cooler lines
Hello,
Im new to the forum and have exhausted a forum/internet search and cannot come up with a straight answer for my 69 camaro /ls3 build. I purchased a 2009 ls3 engine out of a corvette. this is as much info as I have about the vehicle the engine came from. I have steel two lines just above the oil filter which follow the block forward under the mount and swedged to rubber lines, it appears upon removal of the engine they cut the rubber hoses and tied them to each other. Are these oil cooler lines? can I cap them off? or just run them to a universal cooler? this link states this setup is for a dry sump setup. http://parts.nalleygmc.com/showAssem...modelYear=2009
I was under the impression stock ls3 did not have oil coolers?
please help...

I have an 09 LS3 that came from a stock automatic Vette. It does not have the cooler. I think the GS Vettes came with oil coolers on them so yes there are some LS3s that have oil coolers.

I'm running a truck oil cooler adapter just like yours (and cut at the hose just like yours). I plan on cutting mine at the metal tube, flaring it, and running it to a plate cooler.
