408 build compression question...

408 build compression question...
So, I am in the process of building a 408 stroker engine. It will be a 4.00" stroke and 4.030 -4cc pistons...
At the moment I have an L92 Head Gasket which I believe is .060"
The heads I have are a set of 243's shaved .020" which should net about a 61-ish chamber size.
If I am doing my math right is this really going to net a 11.7 CR? If so what's the cheapest and easiest way to lower that? I would prefer something in the low 11's.. This is a Road Race Carb'd engine and built to a class so not a max effort build, reliability is the key!

Get a stock 243 head? Port and polished 317s would flow nice but probably take you down to high 10s? You can open the chambers of the 243s but it won't drop you much because you woudn't want to take too much out.
