Generation IV External Engine - Anybody had or know how to fix this problem?

I have an 01 WS6 and recently I will get a very loud rattle coming from underneath the center console, I wanna say its coming from underneath the shift stick but I can't figure out what the hell it is... Its pretty damn loud too..

I don't know if this is a sure pattern yet but I noticed it happens more often when im shifting from first to second....

Any ideas?

This is annoying as hell! I have this same deal but pretty much only when the cutouts are open. Sounds like the whole counsel is coming apart. If i hold or push real hard on mine it goes away. Anybody come up with a fix for this??:(

No, i am pushing on the plastic part of the counsel to stop it. It's all the vibaration with my dual cutouts dumping straight off the 3.5 inch open headers.

buy a dynomat kit and cover the floor... or any cheap shit you wanna use... I noticed when I dumped my exhaust, I got a lot more rattles throughout the car so I started with the console... it helped a lot. the whole car will be getting it this summer...
