Default help with LS1 fuel system

Installed Ls1 into 80 vette. LS1 from an 01 SS camaro. Stock except for cam.

Fuel pressure gauge on rail reads 35-40@ idle. That seems low? Pump (acdelco EP241) is rated for 50psi. Filter/regulator is from a c5 vette (AC Delco GF822)

ignition on but not running engine pressure jumps to 40 then drops to 10psi and ends up at 0psi. Leaking injectors is what I am thinking.

WOT, 1st gear, higher RPM you can tell it cuts out. Starting the engine also seems to start like a carb engine. Cranks multiple times before firing which fuel injection should not do.

So where should I start? Fuel pump needs to be more around 60psi? New injectors and maybe another fuel filter? Why am I dropping 10+PSI?

Any help is appreciated

Have vette filter/reg &rail gauge also, should read 58psi. Key on, engine off, pump should run for I think 10 seconds, then shut off. There is also check valve in pump that can leak.
Googled that pump #, it is listed for gen 1 engines, which means probably, NOT enough pressure. The aftermarket version of that pump, such as the holley I have, would be a good replacement pump. With low pressure, fuel will not atomize properly , not start properly ,& of course cut out on demand. I,d correct this first before blaming injectors.

The correct pump will supply over 80 psi, brought down to 58 psi by the regulator. Wrong pump.

I dont doubt they put it in, but it didn't work.
There's a wealth of bad info on the internet.
Just check out GM fuel pressure spec (from GM), it's over the 50 psi on the vette in the link.

This new pump would be great, if that is the solution.
Then, you don't have to mess with the injectors.
