timing cover and oil pump clearance with double roller
I have a TSP LS6 oil pump. I've clearanced the cover and it still hits on what looks to me like reinforcement ribs on the cover of the oil pump and right where the front seal stop is in the timning cover. Thetiming cover in that area is already thin so I'm thinking of taking some off the front cover plate of the oil pump. Is this something that will be fine or cause issues?

If I remember correctly, you can replace 2 or 3 of the upper hex head bolts on the oil pump with flat head allen bolts and you will not need to do any grinding/clearancing on the timing cover.Hope this helps.

I used ARP bolts for my TSP oil pump with an Edelbrock 2 piece cover. I did however have to machine out 4 spots on the cover to clear the bolts. No big deal since I have a mill in my garage.

Why are you using a dual row timing chain?
The best LS timing chains are single row.
