Default make it run

i'am puting a ls1 from a 98 fb into a 48 ford have complete fire bird doner car i want to know what emision controls i can take off and still have the fuel and engine managemant systems work properly using the stock computer. have read the ls1 engine swap tech . any related advise would be gratly appresated

You can remove all of them... EGR, Air Pump, and catalytic converters. You'll need to have the DTC's for turned off for the egr and air pump, tune out the rear O2's sensors.

DTC is diagnostic trouble code. These codes are what will make your check engine light come on.

because this is a hot rod and dosen't use any of the original dash there will be no check engine lite . does not having any of the o2 sensors that were on the exhaust have any efect on how the engine will run and is there anything i should watch out for or can not disconect

you will need the front O2 sensors to help the ECM to keep the air/fuel ratio correct.

You might want to hide your diagnostic port and check engine light under the dash...helpful when you have a problem.
