Default Ac bracket

On the ls1 can the bracket that holds the ac pullies, can it be removed easily with the motor in the car?

Very easily. Once you have the compressor off it only take maybe another 5-10 minutes to remove the bracket. All the bolts are accessible with a 3/8 ratchet and a socket.
