I have a 93 Z/28 A4 car and also a 97 Trans Am M6 car that I bought for parts.
I plan on using the T/A engine, trans and rear in my Camaro as well as the later model dual cat exhaust.
The T/A is also equipped with mass air and the Camaro is speed density.
Should I convert it to mass air and if so what is involved in the swap?
I live in California and have to deal with the smog check program here so I also need to get ideas on a hard running but smog legal 383 combo for my car.
I have been told that maybe I should just use the parts from the Camaro on the T/A and run that one but I am partial to the Camaro.
I will also have left over T/A parts when I am finished so if anybody needs them let me know.
I welcome any ideas that come my way, this is my first later model F-body and can not wait to get started on it.

i think ca is very strict with there laws you might not be able to swap the combo. according to ca hot rodders are the reason the us is in 15 trillion dollars of debt.

Thanks m1 for the reply. I know that if the smog guy looks too close at the dual cat setup I will be using then he will fail it for having 1 too many cats (dumb reason) in my opinion.
I was also thinking of using everything emissions related from the T/A and then it will have to go to the referee to be smogged as a 97 car instead of a 93 car.
I am getting ready to have to go thru that process for my sons Cobra soon since we are changing to a later engine assembly for it.
I will be sure to let everybody know what has to happen when I find out as there seems to be alot of confusion about the united socialist soviet republic of california draconian and silly smog laws
