Hey guys. I am new to this site, and also new to owning an 06 Impala SS. So far the car is absolutely bone stock.

I work for a major gauge manufacturer, and perform the majority of gauge installations. I would like your opinion of what you would like to monitor with gauges on these cars. My thoughts are Transmission Temp, Oil Pressure, Volt Meter, or even a Wideband Air Fuel Ratio. I have the option to use a new 3-gauge universal dash mount pod (not yet released, but will have a prototype to use) for the installation, which I will produce a detailed write-up on.

As a follow up to this, I would like to add a trans cooler to this, purely based on what I have seen on this site, then compare the difference in temperatures. Is there a "favorite", or "preferred" trans cooler that most of you like already?

Thanks!

I've yet to find a place that I like the guages to be in my gxp. But my bud has his hooked up in his glove box. His reasoning was that all guages look rice.

I don't think I'd want a gauge pod on my dash and personally I don't care for pillar pods either.

Here's what I did for my trans temp gauge, which I post over on GMLS4.com
