It is TOTALLY stock and 100% the exact same as when it left the factory (other than tires) It has 43,500 miles on it and im looking for this to be my fun weekend project so shoot me some good ideas. Thanks guys! =D

I have considered leaving it alone, but then again I don't know if I will be able to. Haha so I must say the exhaust is a great idea alone with window tint I'm thinking. I'll post more pictures after I get it in a week:)

Any ideas for clean chrome wheels I can throw on this? I have seen some awesome looking TA ths color but IDK what to pick.

Its a very good start. I can see its an 01-02 so youll have the LS6 intake. Id start with a lid and catback and start saving some money for a cam and stall convertor.

I do plan on ordering the SLP lid ASAP, but to be honest with you when i say im not super smart when it comes to cars (I just love the F bodies) so I have to ask, what is "catback"?

Gotta pay to play! I went with Forgestar F05s for my TA. Cheap, and nice looking. I really wanted the 505as but it would be stupid for me I think.

bolt on exhaust from the cats-back

I would say:lid, ported/polished throttle body, catback, tint for sure, CETA mod, lower it, and then start workin on suspension components. Gorgeous car btw! congrats

Like everyone else said, tints, airlid, lowering springs, catback, and then I'd throw headers on it for sure,so when you do drop a cam in it,it can breath better! lol

Alpine Type X or Rs (Rs cheaper, but more shrill on highs and Xs will sound better all around). I run X components in the front and R coaxials in the back.

Headers, exhaust slp lid and bellow and a dyno tune with some 315 tires on the back it will run good. If you want it to run really good buy some heads and a cam and a stall.

to do list

get paypal account
clear corners for it
lid buy a used one off here
catback exhaust
ls6 intake
frost mail order tune

headers if you get the itch
stall converter

and now is a great time to buy springs and shocks ,some great deals on new stuff .

dont waste your time with ported throttle bodies and underdrive pullies . Save up for some texas speed headers and y pipe .

But realistically do the lid, cat back , 180 or 160 thermostat , and frost tune . those few things will wake it up a bunch and not break the bank , esp if buying the lid and catback used.

Dont do themostat unless you have h/c/i or bigger cubes. It wont help but hurt your power because the motor is made to perform at that temp. The more major mods you do will make it run hotter so you go to a lower thermo. Ask me how i know ive seen em dyno it. 98 z28 headers true duals lid maf bellow intake and 160 swaped in a stock one because the numbers where low and gained 10 ponies.

I somewhat agree with you, bot not 100%. I also love how a stock WS6 looks and sounds.... But in my mind, with an eleven year old car a few things will need to be changed just to make it a little more safe and perform better.

Plus isnt it nice to know that you worked on a few different parts of the car and made it a little of your own? :drive:

Agreed. I have a WS6 with 15k and everything is stock on it with the exception of an SLP lid. I dont want to do anything else to it really...Now on the other hand, my 2000 SS has some nice bolt-ons so its the best of both worlds...

since u have an 01-02 model u can also get the slp 1.85 rockers for a quick 15hp and no other mods necessary. install time is about an hour. i have them for sale because i went with a high lift cam and had to go back to the stock ones. normally they go for $560-$590 new. im selling them for $375 including shipping.

All fluids are up to date and "fresh" now. Now looking into the Plugs and wires, I have the SLP lid on the way.... now what did you mean by " P&P TB" ?

Just did my first mod on the new WS6, Granted its nothing big but I think it really sets off the pewter color on the car. I just put on the "Ram Air" black hood stripes. Pictures on the way

How can you see it's an 01-02?

From the engine pic you can see there is no EGR hose running into the intake manifold, so its an LS6 intake meaning the car is an 01-02 (pre 01 cars got the LS1 intake manifold). - this is of course assuming everything is truly original.
The car should be an early '01 judging by the wheels, the later 01's-02's got the thicker WS6 wheels.

Hey congrats on the car, it looks insane & that is my favorite color on them!!

I have a '96 WS6 with 41k miles and people are right when they tell you it will be worth more stock and everything, but I would simply recommend that whatever you do make sure it can go back to stock, keep all of the parts you replace, etc. The best modifications I did to my car so far would be a Hurst shifter, 3.73 gears, and a GMMG cat back. Being friends with many f-body owners I can tell you that, at least in my opinion, the GMMG system is the best sounding exhaust I have heard, which is why I went with that one.

PS: When you order new wheels I'll buy those off of you if you want.

Sounds like there may still be a few low mileage cars out there, I just grabbed an 02' WS6 Vert myself last week with 25k and it is also bone stock. I will make sure to keep all my stock parts but I think this is the last one I will be buying.

Funny that you bring that up... I almost lost my Honda (daily driver) on my way to work the other day due to the flood waters. Where I live we havent had any issues with the water so the Trans Am is still safe! haha
Thanks for asking, I know its been raining over there a lot also, but i hope you all havent had any issue with flooding.

Honestly I am a little surprised at the difference I can feel. I knew it would be a good mod in the long run but didnt expect to feel the difference or hear it right off the bat.
The car sounds slightly deeper in it's idle, and there is an increase in throtle response and pull of the car. Love It!

Now looking into weather or not I should invest into a Ported ls1 ls6 throtle body...... Any sudgestions or thoughts on that guys?

I don't think you'll see any real gains from the throttle body. How about headers and poly/solid motor/transmission mounts?
