where do I go from 3 inch to 2.5 on my exhaust?

Default where do I go from 3 inch to 2.5 on my exhaust?

im buying my exhaust today online (most of it) xpipe with built in cutouts. but i have 3 in collector. where do you go from 3 to 2.5 inch if? mufflers? before? at the collector??

Neck down as far back as possible. I'm assuming the x pipe is 2.5, do it there. If x is 3", do it after.

i was about to buy an x pipe that was 3 inch collector and 2.5 inch after the x with 3 inch exhaust dumps... !! I just realized that it changed sizes I didn't read the specs on the item

3" into x then, 2.5 on exit side was how mine was. It worked well with my Procharger. Go to www.Drgas.com That site will explain the hot gas, flow, volume, blah-blah-blah thing. It'll make sense once you read it.
