Default Upgrading Parts for H/C Swap

I know alot of people swap out the lifters, oil pump, timing chain, and seal during a head and cam swap. Is this just because they have many miles on them or required?

I have a brand new, never fired LS1. Just wondering if I will be GTG with the stock components or there is good reason to go with LS7 lifters, LS6 pump etc.

thx

It's generally because of the miles, although GM head gaskets and head bolts are one time use only, so at a minimum those will need to be replaced.

People swap them out because everything is already apart too. A lot easier to change lifters with the heads already off.
