LT1 beating up on some LSX (with videos) Got 2 wins in my LT1 on sunday. First was more of a close win than kill. My car (mods in sig) vs a 2005 CTS-V with a magnaflow exhaust. We did a ~35 roll both starting in 2nd gear. I jumped out a car or so real quick and he made it back to my door by the top of 4th when we let off. I was very suprised, considering I thought I was going to get killed.
Second race was my LT1 vs a 2000 SS auto with a lid and gmmg exhaust. We did a 2nd thru 3rd roll and I pulled about 2 cars (I was spinning bad too) before we got out of it.
I got both races on video, but there are on facebook and have no idea how to link them here. Just figured I would share. Looks like the ol LT1 can still put up a fight

Lol I can take it. And heres a vid of me beating a full bolt on ls1 at the track a few months ago just for the hell of it (im the red car)

love how everyone underestimates the torque of the old LT1! before you know it you're 2 cars down and trying to make up ground..no one EVER believes it! Nice kills!

Details on your car, as far as weight reduction, please? I know you eliminated the AC and basic emissions stuff; Anything else? And were you spraying anything out of that Nitrous Outlet kit, or running NA?

when i red u raced the ss with lid and gmmg i instantly thought of kristine's car then i saw the video and i was right lol.. small world.. so u know rob k.?

For the record, this was at a rental at Atco a few months ago, and the orange (LS1) car left in 2nd gear, and a week or so later, during a tear down, was found to have a bad bottom end (can't remember what exactly was wrong with the car, off the top of my head right now).

. I think the rings were messed up when they tore it down like 2 months later. Just figured I would post it for the hell of it...Hahaha yup it was her car. Guess you could see the vids if you are friends with her on fb. I know of Rob K, but not personally. I know her through her boyfriend Chris...
