LS4 Performance - Muffler inlet smaller than outlet

Finally got around to installing my new mufflers on my 2006 Impala SS and i discovered the inlet pipe is indeed 2.0 inches and the tail pipe is 2.25 inches. Every parts catalog ive looked in all say you need 2.25 inch replacements.... Well i for sure had to use two reducers to make the fit work. Im not sure if this is an 06 impala thing only but i thought i would pass the knowledge along because people tend to ask about muffler sizes.

I measured my 06 stock pipes and saw that exact thing. I contacted flowtech and magnaflow and they both said I needed to remeasure . Nice to know my ruler and my eyes really do work
