Default Pics Of My Custom 78mm Throttle Body

Well I finally had time to get this thing finished. Its a stock TB that I got from Pro Stock John that was CNC machined out to 78mm and a new blade made for it as well. It was unported however.

I did the port and polish work myself, and am very happy with how it came out. I polished up the blade and the cross section that holds it just for fun, too. I will be show polishing the outside when I have time as well.

You will notice I also epoxied the vacuum hole and drilled out two holes for the necessary vaccum and sensor. That seems to have worked out well also. The car likes it, runs much better than with the stock TB I had on there before..idle has improved and throttle response is MUCH better. My 78mm LSX apparently really needed something like this

Hey broh, did you have to clearance the blade at all? How does the TB inlet line up with the intake, decent? I had that sucker CNC'd like in 1999 I think but I never bothered to check the inlet diameter of a stock intake LOL. Glad to see it get some use it sat on a shelf for a few years.

i had to do a bit of monkeying around johnson, but i got it working without to much problem. i bought a nice dial calipers and the tb blade measured to be 78mm..the blad was ok, i had to expand the cross section's width a bit for the bigger blade to fit in there and make the holes for the screws in the blade bigger as they didn't line up properly in the cross section.
