Default L92 back from machine shop

Got a call today and was told my shortblock was ready to go. I had Mahle 4.070 pistons on stock length rods installed and all new bearings and was told that the pistons sit about 0.015" below the deck. I never really looked closely at the pistons before shipping it over, does this sound right, or is it possible they ordered the wrong pistons and they are for the longer rods?

the Mahle 4.070 pistons I ordered are for std length SBC rods (6.098 vs 6.125) which would help explain the 0.028 you might see. I have scat ls1 rods to get the 6.125 length that the pistons spec. Post or look up your part#

I checked the part number and it is for the 6.098 rods. Not sure what the issue is if there is one at all. I have an LQ4 on the stand at home, I'm going to see if the pistons are below the deck or not. Maybe I'm paranoid but that does seem odd
