LS1 Driveshaft to 9" Ford
I am putting an LS1/4L60E from a 2001 Camaro into a 1936 Ford 5 window coupe with 9" Ford rear axle. I have and would like to use the LS1 aluminum driveshaft that came with the motor/transmission, but the GM U joint in the rear of the LS1 driveshaft is incompatible with any available yoke that I can find for the 9" Ford. Has someone done this before and is there a simple way to do it? The driveshaft will have to be shortened to fit and if there is some aftermarket yoke for the rear of it that could be substituted for the existing one, that'd be acceptable.....I just don't know what to ask for or where to find it.
So far, I've not found a conversion U joint that will work either.

On this particular issue if you want to keep the driveshaft you have you can run a bastard joint. One size fits your driveshaft and the other fits the rear end yoke. The cheapest way imo. Im lucky , as in my job has me hunting stuff like that all the time and i have a good parts finder at Napa for stuff like that . He is 70 years old so he still uses the books instead of the computer to find that stuff. Or you could find the driveshaft for the rear end and replace the trans yoke with the one you need. Or take it to your local shop that does driveshafts and they should be able to take care of your situation for you .

Yoke
If it has to be cut down anyway, your local driveline guy can get you the correct parts to mate up your setup-- If he balks, then for sure find a reputable shop, this has been done countless times, for many other applications. Good luck on the build
