Lightbulb Dual tank setup on truck idea, suggestions?

I have an 83 c10 pickup with dual tanks that ive swapped a 5.3 into and am running it on the stock efi setup, i currently have a walbro inline pump sucking/returning fuel through the original tank switch. ive got 4000 miles on it and the pump is already acting as though it is being burnt out. I would like to switch it to dual in-tank pumps. attached is a drawing for such a setup, with it i should be able to switch tanks while driving? Thanks for any input!

BTW, any recommendations on fuel pumps? Im thinking of using walbro gss-242 pumps. I wont be needing to support more than 400-450 hp in the near future.

Go find an 87 truck, which was factory fuel injected. You can likely get everything you need at a salvage yard. Just swap larger pumps to support your engine.

I've thought of using the 87 parts but i still want to get away from the fuel selector valve, i dislike them quite a bit
