Forced Induction - Magnafuel 4303 feed it with -12 or -10 ?

What is the best way to plumb my new 4303 for E85 and lots of street use?

The dang thing only has -8 in and out ports.

Would there still be a benefit to run -12 to it ?

If so what is the least restrictive way to feed that -8 inlet?

I'm running -10 feeds. That's what Magnafuel recommended to me when I bought them.

Mines 12 out of the tank to the pre-filter, then 10 out of the post-filter to the motor.

Thats how mine is going to be also ^^^^ thats what the paper work says that came with my pump.

Anyways a little off subject but whats every one pushing one of these pumps too on e85? basically wanting to know what everyone is making with this pump to the tire. Ive done the math but sometimes comparing it to real world experience it can be off. Thanks

Quick question. What is the problem with running straight -8AN all the way to the motor? i have a buddy that dynoed 780ish to the wheel on a supercharged motor with the STOCK feed line. I am sure I would be in the clear for up to a 1000 to the wheel with -8AN, right?

Running the recommended -12 inlet, -10 outlet and a minimum of one (but preferabley two) -8 vents will cause the pump to run cooler, pull fewer amps for a given flow/pressure, and increase overall flow/pressure capacity of the pump.

They've been 1500 flywheel on e-85, but not on 58# base pressure and 12 volts. Try 35# base and a 17v volt booster if you're looking to max out a 4303.

We were right around 1000 fwhp on our setup with e85 before we ran out of injector. 12v system and base was around 40. One thing to point out is pay attention to base. Some injectors have a real problem with lower base pressure.

This is exactly how I have mine setup. I have a -10 vent on the tank as well.

What kind of alternator setup are you running?

It's not -8 AN to the pump. It's -8 ORB which is different. Their info is skewed in this regard.

If you buy magnafuel's kit for the pump, it comes with a -8 ORB to -12 AN Male fitting for the inlet side of the pump. Whoever you talked to at magnafuel that told you to run the -10 to feed it is an idiot. Can it be done, yes. Is that what it was designed for, No.

The -8 ORB is about the size of a regular -12 AN, which is what should be used to feed the pump.

Last year I ran a AEIcnc.com mount setup with a east coast 140amp alternator 12v system. That's all out the window and replaced with a single 16v battery and non-alternator setup now.

I used one on a customers car. -12 feed, -10 return, -10 vent, BG fuel cooler on the return. Extensively street driven without problems and supports a crapload on E85.
