It this to much for a daily driver
Hello
I am looking at getting the following package for my 2001 C5.
LG G5X3 cam , ASP Pulleys, TP, SS4000, 3.90 gears, trans cooler, and shift kit.
But before I know I would like to know what some of you think. I currently have the LG LT headers, Vortec Ram air and Borla Stingers. My current best is 12.46 @ 113 mph with a 1.91 60' on Mich Piolt Sports. I drive my car everyday and want to get some insight to if any of you guys think that this package is to much for a daily driver.
I just bought the BFG G-force 315 DR for the extra power.
Thanks

I think that combo would REALLY ROCK and should bring home some awesome ets (low 11s for sure) and still be fairly streetable and i assume you are gointg to go with a 114lsa as that is the only lsa which will work for that bad boy cam with stock heads without having to flycut pistons. The big stall (4000) will create excellent vacum which will also help with the streetability of the cam and as long as you get PROFESSIONAL TUNING (which you certainly will need) you will be ALL SMILES!!!! Remember, streetable is an objective thing and if you are on the hardcore side like me then this should be quite streetable and will be one VERY fast bottom end stock cubed A4 C5!

Although i think that the g5x3 cam on a 114lsa would work fine with his set up after giving this a little bit more thought i ideally would recommend for his daily driver A4 car something like the Futral Motorsport Cam (FMS 11) with specs of 228/230, around .588 lift on a 112 or 113 lsa. That would REALLY work well as would the TSP 231/237 that your running and another great option would be the MM2 cam that RWHITE has had a TON of SUCCESS with in his A4 with 3.90 gears and the same hard hitting stall i'm running in my 427 car, a Yank Pro Thruster 4000 (with 2.7 torque multipication)! Also, i would also choose the G5x2 over the x3 for his set-up!
Also, the following MTI cams would make great choices and of course get the best dual springs that $ can buy (comp 921s) that fit right into stock heads without any machining.
C2 224 224 .581 .581 112
X1 230 227 .591 .571 112
R1 232 236 .575 .578 114
As you can see there are many, many great cam options for you and do a ton of research and don't rush your selection as you want to get it right the first time and be done with it and 100% satisfied. BEST OF LUCK!
