1996 d-body sender with which pump?
HI,
I have a 1996 D-body Tank with its original sender.
My 1987 Cadillac Brougham is getting a 1999 4.8 Vortec.
Any pump that fits the sender without any modifications?
I don't want an exterior pump, I want it in the tank.
If there is no pump which fits with no mods, what is the next choice?
I read about people having to cut a hole in the trunk pan to clear the pump that sticks out of the tank. But I am not sure about what pump and sender were they talking about. Was it a LT1 sender or something else? Also what pump were they talking about?
Thanks

You can fit a walbro 255 in there or many other aftermarket pumps. The ac delco EP381 should fit right in too. You could even use a replacement pump for a 96-98 vortec 350 suburban.
I believe the people who were having to cut the trunk were using that tank in older (first/second gen f-bodies or maybe chevelles) cars that were not designed for that large of a tank
