Gears & Axles - Do these axles need replacing?

I pulled my axles last night to replace the seals & bearings, axles have 110,000 km (~68,000 miles) on 'em. They look grooved but when I drag my fingernail over the worn sections the surface is still smooth. I've never replaced axle bearings before so I have no idea what I should be looking for, any advice would be appreciated!

Looks like the seal has worn a groove on each axle shaft;
one axle shows galling where bearring rides...
my opinion is those need to be replaced.

That's kinda what I thought too however I couldn't actually feel any ridges. I did wind up reusing the axles, partly out of curiosity to see if they'd work, partly because there weren't any new axles locally and I'd have order a set in and I didn't want the car to sit for 2 weeks (shipping parts to Canada tends to have a fair bit of variability :mad:).
I appreciate your advice though, thanks!

The driver side one you might be able to get away with for a while, but that passenger one is shot and will cause premature axle bearing failure.
I can see reusing them to get the car back on the road if you have nothing else to drive, but replace asap.
When I had an axle bearing and axle go bad I got lucky and got a used axle from a member on here for cheap that was in perfect shape.
