Default tuning experts, what all is there too it? just fuel and timing?

is tuning alot more complicated than i think or is it really not all that hard.

the way i see it there are 2 basic parts to tuning. part throttle and WOT.

for part throttle i am sure there is ALOT to it but for my basic needs if i can make it run and idle good enuff for me than i am happy.

WOT is what i am wondering about. if the a/f raito is right where it is suppose to be using a wideband and timing is maxamized right up to the point of no KR or even better on the dyno for best power then what else is there.

soo, like the title, is it just a matter of fuel and timing or is there more too it?

In its simplest form, yes - just fuel and spark. For WOT-only tuning, a wideband O2 and dyno should get you there. The trickier part is getting smooth throttle transitions over the entire operating range of the engine...

and drivability.

Thats what seperates a good tune, from a great tune.

you can do good yourself, with a wideband, and edit. But to get everything to run like stock, idle smooth, ect, you need to mess with more tables.
