It was my daily driver for about 4 years and had a 383 built by Santos installed in 1997 with 96000 miles on the chassis. The engine was built using the best forged components available and has an LT4 intake and all the important ancillary parts (cam, headers, intake, built 4L60, Eibach's, Bilsteins, etc.). I have tuned the chip for the car.
Lingenfelter earned his reputation for building performance cars by winning 4 consecutive NHRA Top Alcohol Dragster titles. Rick Santos won 5 consecutive NHRA Top Alcohol (called Federal Mogul at that time) championships in 97-2001. I also have a Santos built 383 in my 93 Corvette. Both these motors have been bullet proof.
Many moons ago, we had a thread on the old Fbody.org that had us all listing what we had spent on our cars. Not a fun thing to add up but it built a great car that remains a very fun and cool driver.
It is currently licensed in Az and has passed smog in Nv as well as Ca.
This is a fantastic driver and way cool.
