Default Which head bolts???

I have 799 heads that are going on my ls1 block, from what I've read on this site is that ls1 and ls6 cylinder heads bolts are different.

I don't know what threads you have been reading....it depends on the year of the block, not the heads

LS1/LS6 1997-2003 (Long and Short bolts) have different bolts than the 2004+ (All short bolts)

Pull yours and see what you need.

Get studs and only do it once. I like studs as once they are in, they are in for good and have better clamping force.
