Generation IV Internal Engine - AFR225 small bore heads on 416ci LS3

Will it work?

I have friend just upgraded his 347ci to 416ci LS3 and looking to use the same heads will the AFR225 small bore heads fit/work ?

Yes it will work. Some people will prolly try to perway you/him tonot bother with such a small head, but it should be a torque monster with a FAST 102/102and a correct cam.

Definite torque beast. I'd send them to Tony Mamo for a freshen and open up
the combustion chambers to match the larger bore. Unshrouding the valves
will help them flow a bit more as well.

Good idea.

I have the 225 small bore heads on my 418. I picked them up used on ebay. They work fine, even though more expensive heads would probably do a better job.
