Default Quick Q : SLP lid plug

What's up guys. I apologize if this has been asked before, as I'm sure it has. My internet connection here in Afghan is very slow and my search button does not work.

I have alot of parts waiting for me at home to go on my car. '99 Trans am. My question is do I need the plug from SLP for the air lid since I will be doing !air!egr. ??

I previously had a '99 SS and IIRC there wasn't a hose going to the lid. I am not 100% sure though.

I appreciate the help in advance.

Yes, plug it. I wouldn't put a filter on it though b/c that engine bay is going to be hot.

I think alot of us, myself included, have had great results with electrical tape, to be quite honest.

Keep your head down, brother.

You guys just put electrical tape over the hole? I was thinking about doing this as well. Or possibly molding some epoxy or something in there. Anything to avoid paying $13 for a dumb plug.

Trust me, it works. It's actually pretty invisible too. I have a hard time trusting epoxy that's going to be that thin.

There's a company called "caplugs" that has the plug, but I don't remember the part #. Let me dig and see if I can find it. It's MUCH cheaper than 13 bucks though.
