what to set the lash on a solid lifter engine?

Default what to set the lash on a solid lifter engine?

i had it writen down on what lash is suppose to be. i tried finding it. and no luck.is there a basic amount or do you have to do it to the cam???

any info. i know im not the smartest guy or with good memory. i did it a couple times to this engine. i want to do it again to the engine. i can hear a slight lifter nose and i want to make 100% sure there on.

Solid lifter lash specs are usually tied to the particular cam. Call the cam manufacturer and tell them what cam you have.

yea really depends on the cam design and the valvetrain being used to control the valve......ball park you could probably start in the .020 area and play from there......i know people that run them out at .025 and ive run mine as tight as .007

If they only give you one clearance make sure they clarify if it's a cold or hot setting.

If you have the cam card....the lash setting should be on it.
