Default Slp Headers (wiring Harness Extension)

I'm getting ready to install my SLP headers soon and have a quick question... does anyone have pics of how they extended the wiring harness? I'd rather just cut them and solder an extra 8 inches to each one of the wires. tia. D.d.l.Ll.

I just installed skid plates on the lowest pipes: welded 'em on and no more worries of "wear thru". As you might guess, I'm more into function rather than form. :

I splice in about 4 feet of wire to the harness. Then rerouted it across the wheel well, down past the battery, and threw the motor mount. This kept it far away from the header.

What a fantastic idea! That has got to be the best idea since sliced bread! thanks. What gauge wire would I have to use? are they all the same or would I have to get different gauges?
TIA.

If I do this would I still have to use FireSleeves for the wires or will adding the extra couple of feet if wire completely stay away from header heat?
