Default Temp guage only gets past first line.

Just starting to work out the bugs on the new 355 setup.

I have a new temp sensor installed in the drivers head. I have put about 100 miles on the car so far and it ha only gotten half way on the guage once. Any other time it's just above the first line on the guage.

Personally I think it's one of the most crucial guages other than the oil pressure.

It has a brand new 160 degree stat.

Wouldn't the system not being bled properly cause it to overheat?

Thanks!!!

When I had a 160 stat with my ewp it only got that hot unless I was sitting in traffic. I since went back to a 180 and it has since started sitting about halfway or just under. I concluded my cooling system is just fine, if not above average. Lol

Wait, you are complaining about your car not getting hot enough? lol you should be happy

On my 383 car I have a Meziere HD waterpump & 160 degree thermostat. Never gets above the first line.

I have a stock water pump and 160 t-stat

Even sitting in traffic the needle will only uncover the 160 on the gauge lol

your best bet, is to hook up a scanner, and watch the temp on there.

Well thanks for the good news! I guess even with 160 stat I was expecting it to read a bit higher.
