Default stock 94 LT1 OBD1

I have had my 94 Z28 OBD1 Camaro since i was 15, I got another car now and i want to start building my Camaro. I got 4000 dollers to spend on my baby. Its auto and top out at 110. Any ideas on what mods i should start with and what would be better for my car. I currently have MSD Cap and Full exhaust.

Depends on how far you want to go with it. You want big power? You drive the car every day? If you want the most power possible build the motor, heads, cam ect.

If you want a really quick, fun to drive car with reliable power and tons of money left over, do full bolt ons. I vote full bolt ons.

Longtube headers
3" off road Y pipe (or catted Y pipe if you need emissions)
3" aftermarket catback exhaust, true duals, or custom
Cold air intake or LS1 lid conversion (best gain but can be difficult for some)
High stall torque converter
373 rear end gears for auto
Aftermarket 52mm throttle body or ported stock throttle body & airfoil
1LE intake elbow or aftermarket smooth elbow
Throttle body coolant bypass (free mod)
Tune when it's all done

Suspension is a great thing to build first, while it doesn't add HP it WILL make your car much faster and much more enjoyable to drive.

Lower control arms
Panhard rod
Lowering springs
Shocks
Torque arm
Polyurethane bushing upgrades everywhere or rod ended components where applicable
sway bars front and rear
a nice bigger set of rims and tires

The list goes on and on... welcome to the world of modding f bodies

Since you auto, your tranny will be more forgiving on that 10 bolt rear.

First thing is first.

HEADERS are a MUST!!! Pace Setter Long Tubes
are priced good and have no clearance issues.

Some type of Air intake, Moroso is good for LT1 intake style or you can do a LS1 Lid conversion ( even better )

Exhaust... Depends on what you want it to sound like. Deep throaty sound get a magnaflow loud and raspy get loudmouth

Honestly you should get atleast a Cam. You can get a cam for 300 and some change, you will need the supporting modds but will be well worth it.

Then get your PCM tuned.

So to review with intake, headers, exhaust, cam, and pcm tune your going to be more than happy and a lot faster.

As 93z383 mentioned there is also a lot of good suspension mods you can do to make your 1/4 times quicker.

Which if I had to pick on to do first I would go with Lower Control Arms. Prevents wheel hop and get the power to the ground better.

Gears, converter with a shift kit. Headers, CAI, 1.6 RR with new springs and of course a 100 wet shot. should be good for low 12's maybe high 11's with good DR's.
