Default Next Mod: Interior or LTs & ORY

So I've got about $600 to play with for the next couple months, and I'm looking to do one more mod before Carlisle in a few weeks. I'm down to two options:

1.) Recover my seats and spiff up the interior. Leaning towards black and houndstooth covers.

2.) Install long tube headers and an off road y-pipe. Delete air and egr.

In either case I'll be doing all the labor, so no cost for that. The car is my daily driver all year round. It's a 2000 Z28, loudmouth 1 catback, 3.73 10 bolt rear, SLP lid, 17x9 35thLE wheels. Also contemplating free ram air mod. My seats aren't torn, but are showing their age; bolsters are shot and the leather is cracking in spots. Also the cores could stand to have a little more foam added to them. I don't race, but I do like to go fast and make a lot of noise.

Opinions please:

No question go longtubes and ORY. I have seen many clean f-body's ruined by tacky interior. There is nothing wrong with stock interior.

Another vote for exhaust. It will be faster, sound better, and shave some weight.

Sounds like exhaust is a winner then. I was leaning that way anyway, but needed a push I guess. More noise and power make cruddy seats more tolerable anyway.

one more vote for exhaust....i like the houndstooth material, but better pipes trump all. save some money for the computer tune to finish it all up.

exhaust. if the wheels on your car are the ones you refer to in the post they look like regular 10 spokes and not anniversary wheels.

If you do the exhaust then don't forget to factor in the cost of replacing the LM1 with something else. If your interior is worn out then I would fix that first.

I didn't see that he has a LM1, OP you know the loud mouths is not liked by a lot once they go LT/ORY right?

I am aware. I have a shiney new LM2 muffler sitting in my basement I've been saving to pop in if I do LTs. I've actually heard the LT/ORY/LM1 combo in person, and I don't mind the volume, it just doesn't have any tone. So I'll try the LM2 and if I still don't like it, I'll go the Borla-mouth route.

Yeah its defiantly got ALOT of volume, to me the only part I really don't like is when the revs are coming down if that makes sense.

I know what you mean. Even with cats and stock manifolds, the LM1 sounds like a truck when decelerating from highway speed. It backfires on downshifts sometimes too, like a race car.

BBK LT's, ORY -$360ish

Then you have plenty more money for a different resonator (I paid $60 for my magnaflow bullet), and have just enough for a mail order tune from Frost.
