Nitto 555R 285/35/18 vs 305/35/18
I'm getting ready to put a set of rear tires on my Fikse Profil 5's (18x11). I was leaning towards going with a 295/35/18 street tire. Possibly a Continental DW. But now that I really think about it, I just don't feel that I will get traction with any type of street tire. With that in mind I'm looking at a good middle of the road drag radial (555R). My question is if the 305/35/18 555R runs true to size? I know that the 315/35/17s run extremely small. Was wondering if that is true for the entire 555R line. If they are true to size I may consider a 285/35/18 for fitment purposes since I'm on coil overs and am lowered a solid 2-2.5". Pictures would also be nice if they are mounted on a 18x11 or 18x10.5. Thanks guys.

My brother (has c5 z06) had f1 eagle gt's in 295/35/18 and the nitto 555r 305/35/18 ran wider and now he has bfg comp t/a 295/35/18 non drag radials which run slightly narrower than the 555r, i'd say they run true to size.

People have been mounting them on oem c5 z06 18x10.5s for years and they fit great, grip great, and have exceptional life considering the traction they yield over non drag radial tires.

I would def go larger than 285. 285s were stretched onto my 10.5" wheels when I bought them. There was like a half inch of wheel sticking out past the tire. I would go 305 so you don't end up eating a curb with those expensive wheels. I'm also lowered a lot and have no issues with 305 nitto invos
