I don't have EGR Pipe?

I don't have EGR Pipe? Was looking at doing the EGR Free Mod where you cut that pare of the pipe off that protrudes down behind the TB. Well i went to look at it on my car, and i don't have that pipe. WTF? Should i be worry about this. I have the 2001 LS1, so i have the Ls6 intake, not sure that makes a difference. Anyway, anyone have any idea why this is?
01-02 cars came stock with an LS6 intake and no EGR
