Default PCM swap question

hey guys, did some research, but cannot get a straight answer... Im purchasing a used LS1 with ls6 intake, cam and injectors and his pcm. The donor car is a 2002 ws6 w/ t56 and my car (the engine its going in) is a 99 z28 w/ t56. Im 99% positive the pcm and pinouts are the same. However im not sure about the PASSKEY working. Will i need to reprogram my key to work with his PCM. Only reason why im taking the pcm is obviously its already been programmed for the upgraded engine. I could plug it in and drive it to the dyno shop and maybe have some fine tuning done and reprogram for my gear ratio... thanks

You need to do a vats relearn, it takes 30 min and no tools are needed.
Then go to the dyno and have you VIN changed to match your car
