Default Vengeance VRX-4 Cam Kit in 2002 Camaro SS! Pics/Vids/Details INSIDE!!

Another active military customer has sent his car to us! His goal was having a perfect in between mild and wild camshaft that will suit the quality of his pristine Camaro SS. This is one of the most immaculate F-body cars that I've seen! Only 11k miles on this baby! After talking it over, we decided that the VRX-4 Camshaft was perfect for this build. He is still using the factory intake manifold, throttle body, and cylinder heads.

Using our VRX-4 in a Stage III Cam Kit and American Racing Long tube headers w/ a catted Y-Pipe he put down 391 to the tires!

That Camaro is super clean. Nice results. My old Z28 made almost the same power with the VRX3 cam. It was a very solid cam with good power and drivability.

VRX4 here also and mine put down 385/375 through a 9" with an incomplete tune so, I was impressed on the power and not to mention the hp/tq curve. This cam gets it done for a middle of the road cam. I recommend this cam a lot in discussions on here or amongst guys I hang out with. This was my first cam in this car and I haven't even thought of changing because imo it's perfect. Still got 26mpg with 4.11's through an M6

^^Car is an '02 so he's got the LS6 intake on there, numbers are definitely strong regardless though.

Just think what a set of AFR 210 or 215 heads would do to that setup. Goes to show you don't need a "donkey dick" to make great power.

I just put some race ported 241's on my car with this cam. Picked up .4 on a soft launch (3800). Curious to see how it'll do with my normal 6k dump. It still drives close to stock and mileage seems to still be decent even though I haven't actually figured it up. Can't seem to keep my foot out of it

What exhaust is he running on that setup ? I see the ARH & catted X as noted, but anything else ? 6 speed correct ?

Looks like GMMG tips.

Yes sir, he is running the GMMG cat-back system. Sounds perfect with a set of cat's IMO

Do you mean a catted Y-pipe ? Never knew GMMG to be with a catted X, or is his exhaust custom. Yes i will have to agree with you, the exhaust note sounds amazing !

GMMG makes the catback system. The headers and catted y pipe are made by ARH.

Thanks for the thread Ryan! I cannot send enough praise to the guys @ VRD. If the car didn't get looks before it sure does now! It drives like stock but pulls like mad mid to high range. Plus watching the shifter bounce at a stop light is cooler than the old shaker scoops IMO!

For the masses here is a thread I started with some info on my dealings with VRD.

After almost a year I am still enjoying this setup and have had ZERO issues with accessories or reliability! Thinking about upgrading the heads though! That will be after a much needed brake upgrade! LOL
