Default won't turn over at the key.

Ok so my starter went **** up yesterday. At first I thought maybe it was just hot. Like my 90 camaro would do. Well no. Checked fuses. Gages draw as if it were tryin to start. Jumped the starter and it works. I have reverse lights. So I know that half of the switch works. I am at a total lose. Ran and started great the first half of yesterday. Grrr. Could it be neutral safety? I'll go ghetto and rig a button if I must. But would rather not.

Sure it's not a security code, not allowing the ignition key to work?
