LS4 Performance - Sonax Boost Valve

I have my Hayden transcooler and Intense shift kit sitting in my room with 8qt of Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF. What exactly does this valve do and should I add it to my equation before I drop my car off?

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT USE MOBIL 1 ATF! return it and go buy DEXRON IV!! it tops the mobil 1 and is GM transmission specific as far as the boost valve i am unsure of at the moment

On my....looks like another trip back to the zone. Thanks for the heads up, I actually thought mobil 1 was pretty decent. Would AMSOIL be a better buy even though it's hard as hell to find a dealer or just go with the DEX
