Selling my built LS1 motor out of a 2001 Trans Am. The car was totaled but motor was not damaged in anyway(Crash was in the rear). Motor was recently rebuilt and only has 2500 miles on it since rebuild. Oil has been changed about 5 times in that 2500 miles. Just fully broke in. In addition several mods have been added. The bill for it was about 7500, all work done professionally by Andy at Redline Performance in Crystal City. For the majority of the part, the only stock parts in the motor are the crankshaft and block. Both have original miles on it(about 115,000). This is for the whole motor, Oil Pan to Intake.

Motor includes;

Scat I Beam Connecting Rods
Mahle Forged Piston Kit
Clevite Bearing Kit (Rods/Mains/Cam)
ARP Head Bolts
LS7 Lifters
LS7 Timing Chain
Rebuilt 243s off a TrailBlazer SS
Hardened pushrods/Aftermarket springs
LS7 Oil Pump
Texas Speed Torquer V2 Cam (232/234 .595/.598 on 112 LSA)
Brand New PCM
Brand New IAC, MAF and MAP sensor

sounds like a nice setup,but those are stroker motor prices that have aftermarket casting heads nearing the 500rwhp mark..

Im up for negotations. I wasnt too sure on pricing and asked on an fbody forum what they thought the motor would be worth and they said 5000. I understand that this motor isnt too impressive in performance terms so I know 5000 is a lot but the low mileage makes me think it seems fair. I see stock LS1s with 100,000 miles sale for 2500.

Also if people are interested I still have the Trans Am left too. Might be willing to do a package deal although a lot of the car has been picked apart.
