4.8L Turbo Tahoe Sputtering? Q/A
I have a friend with a 4.8L turbo SUV. It has a front mount 70mm on it. It starts up fine, it drives down the road fine. It has a 4800 stall in it. When you hit WOT, it starts cracking up and misfiring/sputtering on its way up to 4800 rpm. It is as if one the way towards building RPM it has a 2 step. After that it pulls like a raped ape. So basically as long as your around 4800+ in RPM its fine, but on its way up, its crackly. I need to get some opinions on this, so I can make a checklist, as it already has had 27 hours or tuning time spent on it, and two different tuners, and is still un resolved.
Also, when installing the cam on an ls1 car.....and in doing so, changing the stock ls1 chain over to ls2, when removing the oil pump, how are you guys getting to that bolt down by the dipstick tube without jacking it up and dropping the pan out of the way. I did not look at it to well, but that seems to be the route to go.
