LT none egr Ok finally puttin my headers on. their none egr. So my question is after I called for pricing to have the ecu clear out the egr for so I won't get dinged at emissions. They asked if it was a chip or just a download? So I can save the trouble. Which is it?

Who are you calling for this? And what car are you getting this done to?
But to try answering your question anyway, IIRC 1993 lt1's have the Chip they're asking about. (95-97) have strictly the pcm that gets tuned for the codes. To do the download you have to have the interface cable for your car though.

Anyway.....Only '93s have a removable chip in the ECM. 94-97s Are non removable from the PCM.
