Default Edelbrock coil covers

Bought these coil covers off a member here then found out that they don't fit these cars without modification. Anyone tried them with success? I've searched everywhere and found 2 threads on here and pm'd the guy but he didn't have as much trouble as I'm having. I have cut and cut on these things and still don't work. If anyone has done it can you please tell me what you did. Mine acts like the coil covers are hitting the valve covers but they shouldn't be. Any info would help.

I had them, and got them to work with a little bit of modifications. Firstly, the factory fuel rail connection on the driver's side needs some modification, but I simply bought a set of aftermarket rails.

The passenger side had to have the dipstick rebent/moved or you could trim the cover. All in all, it's a very tight fit.

Are you talking about trimming this tab? I cut the coil cover here so it sits down in the coil cover, I still might need to do this though, I'll try it. Thanks

Yeah those were never originally designed to fit these cars. They were made for muscle cars with LS transplants. I would just keep cutting until you can get them to fit! Should look good when you're done
