LS4 Performance - MP3 Nav unit help

My '06 GXP factory nav unit is not recognizing mp3 cd's so I researched and did find the software update thread (http://ls1tech.com/forums/ls4-performance/990954-mp3s-stock-navigation-unit.html).

I downloaded the ISOs and burned them to the two cds like it says in the instructions and the first disc loaded and restarted the radio. I ejected the disc and popped in the second one and it didn't do anything at all.

Has anyone else had this issue or know a fix? Yes, I did recheck the cds to make sure they burned correctly.

I did the same thing in my '06. It worked for about a year or so then it wouldn't read any burned disks, then stopped reading normal store bought CD's.

There was a disclaimer with this that I think something with the laser burning out when having it read burned CD's.

Had to get the entire unit replaced (under warranty $2100) so I could listen to CDs again.
