Selling cam that came out since I went a bit smaller. I thought came was wrong vvt core but comparing to the stock core it appears to be 189 for the newer style engines. I installed In a 4.8 ext cab 4x4 with 3.42 and a 2800 converter and it was just to much to tow with. I didn't have much vac to stop my boat so it had to go. If you have a regular cab 4.10 and 3400+ stall I think it would work good in a 4.8 or it would work better with more compression or displacement. It really came to life after 3400 in my truck. I have some idle clips also and it sounds really good at a 800 rpm idle. Specs are 219/229 .550/.550 114 and was put in this last March. Only really use truck when I need to pull boat so it may have 2000 miles on it. I contacted comp cam and they looked at some pictures I took of it and the marking. They said it was a blank GM core and ground to spec. Checked lobe lift and it matches the description. Idle and RPM range matches the duration/ lsa. 175.00 obo.

These were taken before I installed

Also mine is installed with the LS6 springs so it saves you some money on that side.. Sorta sad to go but I didnt want to have to go with more stall or change both ring and pinions, also that didnt help my braking issue when hauling the boat

You would need to do a lot of stuff to switch to VVT so simple answer is you most likely would want to get a Gen 3 cam. Good luck with your search though and thanks for looking.
